OK, so any clues. Saw him glistening in all his emerald green glory just past the shore line at the beach yesterday. He would have been about 4cm long and almost had a metallic sheen. Interesting if not adorable

Here you can clearly observe the bicolored pterostigma in the wings. Pterostigma are those colored dots ocurring at te edge of the wings. Since the cells of the pterostigma weight slightly more then that of the wings they are usec as counterweight for some of their flying manouevres. As such …
